Default Any with hf motors put in a Si/Dx trans?

Has anyone with the hf motor put in a Dx/Si tranny only? ONLY really want responses from people that actually have done this exactly how much quicker from this alone. edit: How noticable is putting on a si/dx tranny.

Think about it for a second, It's only a 60 HP motor, How much quicker do you think it CAN go?

tranny will make a big difference , so will changing the intake mani and putting a decent TB on.

is it worth it on that engine , IMHO no way.

Common sense? Noob, common sense is knowing the long gearing on an hf. If you don't know and havn't done it , please don't respond, as i stated at the beginning. I already knew it would make a noticable difference, but not by how much.

And a 8v head doesn't mean anything. Most (newer)golfs and even specificallly the corrado g60 supercharged is an 8VALVE, surprised? Anyway
I rev high all the time on my hf to accelerate and keep up on the freeway, at 207k+ mi, NO problems with the motor. The 62( not 60 furball ) horsepower and 90lbs of torque(which is only 10 less then the si)is also based on the intake, exhaust, fuel injection, ecu etc, all changable. I happen to have all the parts for an si and a z6 swap,(besides the tranny) but am enjoying the 50mpg thank you.

Thank you sloorex. Some of the retards on this board, unbelievable.

This was only meant as an informative post, to know how much difference for individuals who have DONE IT was made just swapping the tranny . I didn't ask how else to make the hf faster, otherwise I would have asked for someone to tell me to Search.

Dx and Si have the same drive ratio besides the final gear. The si is 4.25 vs dx's 3.89/.93.

Option 1
http://www.d16a.com/d_series_trannys.htm

Option 2
Hit 80 mph in 5th and see what you're redline is at.
Then go to the CRX math page here:
http://crx.honda-perf.org/math/index.html and figure it out.

Yes you did becuse your first post said,

" Just wondering how much power is lost through that long gearing hf tranny. "

What is power, HP, thus you asked how to make it go FASTER.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOB or just at writing.

You seriously need a grammar crash course.

Lets say your HF motor with 62 HP top speed is 80mph (just an example)
Lets say the HF trans will get to 80MPH in 15 Sec. (just an example)
Lets say the SI trans will get you to 80mph in 12Sec.

Same end result you just reached it faster, NO HP/TQ gains.
