well when i got my car, it ran great.. then after driving it for a little while, it would bog a little, and i would give it gas or floor it, but wouldnt feel it or move really. then one day,about a week after i bought it, it would idle around 1k, then slowly drop down to 4-500, then stall out. Then it wouldnt start at all. I finally got it started and went to the store, when i was leaving, i was at the redline with a line of cars behind me, and when i went to go it stalled out, and wouldnt start again. i would turn the key and hold it and pump the gas, and it would get up to around 500, but then stop and wont go, heres my setup:

· 1988 CRX DX was: 1.5L DPFI auto now: 1610cc MPFI VTEC 5spd.
· engine (@7000 miles on rebuild)
o (10.8-11.0:1CR)
o A6 block (bored and honed)/crank (micro polished)
o Y8 head ported intake ports/3 angle valve job
o Y8 intake manifold/TB
o ZC exhaust manifold
o NEW .5 OS OEM pistons
o NEW OS OEM rings
o NEW OEM wrist pins
o NEW ARP rod bolts
o NEW ACL bearings
o NEW gaskets/seals/belts
o NEW ZEX valvesprings
o regrind JG VT35 cam
o Skunk2 camgear

its using the pr4 ecu chipped, and was running fine but it would smell like gas in the car sometimes, please help me get it started!

 

Check fuel pump... sounds like a fuel/ignition problem to me.

i was thinkin it was the ecu, but u think the fuel pump line could be lose or something like that? the plug wires stick out a little but , but i got them down as much as i can .
