Default Gasmileage with a slightly built motor.

I'm just curious, how much my gas mileage would be affected with Toda spec B cams, Toda valvetrain, intake, header, exhaust, ITR pistons with new headgasket (compression at 11.2:1), afpr, and a VAFC in a 95 GSR? I want this setup really bad, but it's gonna also be my daily driver, and I'm thinking how much more money I would spend on 91 octane fuel. Anyone know? Not lookin for exact numbers, just a rough estimate of how much more. Thanks fellas.

On this site you will get anywhere from 22mpg to people claiming their 230whp car gets 40mpg.

Take it with a grain of salt.

My friend has a similar set-up but has hondata instead of the v-afc and he gets 24mpg or I did when I had his car.

Im also interested in this.

With high FD's, high Gearing and all with high CR I would think the MPG would be pretty bad.

I remeber though my friends JDM b18c with CTR cams/Skunk 2 IM and a 98 spec ITR trans (jdm one) he got a pretty good 27MPG and the car was quick.

Drive around the city though, hit vtec a bunch of times and watch your needle sink.

yeah i agree with that. i hit VTEC/redline a few times today (running a bit rich) and the needle went down quite a bit. but crusing around at or below 3K rpm should be a different story, unless you're hitting WOT all the time.

With my setup right now the last trip I took I got 27mpg. Thats with 4.7fd and 11:1 compression and seeing vtec a lot. I have hondata but havn't got it tuned yet and it runs a little rich too. I would say you will still get good gas mileage, its all in how you drive it and if it will see vtec everyday.
