Green ticket!!HELP
have any of you guys on this board recieve a ticket for something that is modified(intake, exhaust, and etc..)?and was given a white sticker in the back saying that you have to go to the smog ref ?if so how much is the green ticket for a modified intake?and will they send me one or i have to go to the smog ref??plmk..thanks
They gave you a ticket for an intake? California sucks...
Which one do you have? If it's got a CARB number just go to court with the paperwork and show it to the judge. He should drop the ticket. Otherwise it should just be a "fix-it" ticket.

what kinda paper work do i show him?plmk cause there is no way i am taking my car into the smog ref..cause it has a pyr build head with wild cams and my bottom end is built..so there no way of me passing smog..please help me with this ticket guys....thanks
I think you're SOL. If they give you an inspection ticket and you don't show/make arrangements to show - your car will be impounded and its registration revoked if they catch you again.
Your intake should have come with some kind of CARB exemption cerificate. My AEM did, so did my JRSC (actually it's certificate is a sticker that you put under the hood of the car), and my Carsound cat.
Does your car give any engine codes? You MAY be able to pass a sniffer test if you lean it out some. I don't think they rev up the car on the smog tester so you won't have to worry about blowing it up from running it lean for a day.
If you have any documentation about the intake, take it to the inspection and/or court. If you don't have anything, contact the manufacturer and see if they can help out.

"green" tickets are new since I left California 10 years ago, so I don't know about that. I just can't see how they can make you get inspected if the mods on your car are CARB certified. Don't you have the option of going to court and fighting it instead? Being forced into an inspection, or paying a fine sounds an awfull lot like guilty until proven innocent to me...
I'm pretty sure you could tune the car to pass the tailpipe test. Doing so would make it dangerous on the high end, but they aren't going to redline your car on the smog machine. It sounds like most of your mods are inside the motor, so out of site, out of mind. The stuff they can see is the problem, eiter take it off temporailly or get proof that it's street legal.
You could also contact SEMA and see if they have any advice. They love to help people out of ridiculous tickets like this.

-1st off you cant have a JDM motor..
-even if it was a USDM motor you would have to have everythign the same as the OBD2 ITR all ECU, Emiisions, etc
-since its from PYR its prolly smoking hot hahahaha
all those exhaust fumes from your test pipe must have went to your head..
time for a new car!
