Default Little OT: AZ Gas Shortage

A major pipeline in Arizona broke and so Phoenix is on a gas shortage. Last night my friend had to wait in line at a gas station for a gas delivery truck to arrive so people could fill up. Out of twenty or so stations we called, the one he waited in line at was the only one with gas.

A major pipeline in AZ broke and so there is no supply of gas. Everything has to be trucked in. They say two weeks to fix and test the pipe until things can get up and running again.

My concern is that almost all the stations are only selling LOW GRADE UNLEADED. No premium

No sure what I am going to do. I filled up Sat. night but by Friday I will need to fill up again. Any idea what the lowest octane I can run?

Yeah this really sucks. Thank God I still have about a half tank left. I drove by some stations last night where the line went out into the street

I'm gonna look for some 100 octane to mix with the lower grade- that can't be sold out too, you think?

I fear this is just the beginning of the gas shortage problem.... with in 10 years, searching for gas will be similar to a Mad Maxx movie....

This has most that I've heard of. Not sure if they all still have it available now.

if you must mix 100 octane with low unleaded , to have a decent octane . Sorry to hear that , some 76 stations carry at the pump 100 octane . I have been lucky enough to find 2 where i live just in case

you can run the lower octane just fine, the engine will make up for the difference.

if you wanted higher octane, swing by Home Depot and get some Xylene. You can search for a the mix you'd like to run.
