Is there an aftermarket shift linkage boot? Also would my pin idea work...
When I did my swap I used an M8 bolt instead of a bitch pin. Well last time I was under the car I was looking at the bolt. It does its job but I noticed it would spin freely when last I had it tightened so it wouldn't move. I do belive bitch pin is superior and I rather not have that bolt fail on me or something. At the moment I have nothing but a ripped up boot on the linkage. So I was thinking of ordering a new boot. However I was wondering if there was a better boot. Perhaps its just age but it seems like they tear easily or something.
Also I had an idea. I believe I can just use an 8mm spring pin for the bitch pin. Honda says the size is 8mmx20mm. You think if I got one that was longer than 20mm it would be easier to get out? You think I could still stretch the boot over one thats like 25mm-30mm long? Cuz I'm scared if I use a pin I can't get it out again. I had to drop my old tranny out of the bottom and engine from the top to get the tranny out last time.

Hmm, thats a somewhat good idea, if it stuck out just a bit more you could just vice the bitch and pull it out while tapping on it. But there is a C clamp thats supposed to go around that pin to make sure it doesnt come out. Id just put the normal pin in with either some grease or antiseize then put that clip over it. As for the boot I have no idea.
