If you get the type r lsd from the dealer brand new, i bet it will cost around 1 grand. You can find it used for around 300. Labor itself will vary depending on shop or person.

I believe the final ring gear is different on the ls/rs/gs tranny. Thats the only thing you would need to change.

Agreed! I bought my engine swap from Dan and Ken, as did several people I know. Go to http://www.rcrewracing.com His shop is a little hard to find but he can tear down a tranny and put it back together like no one's business.

This is kind of off topic, but I used to be in the market for lsd also, but it kin dof seemed like a waste when I found that I was consistently beating type Rs off of the line (even though they caught up to me and beat me in the end). I dont know, I guess a good set of tires goes a long way.

Or the drivers of those ITR's need some work!

Its not all about straight line acceleration, especially with the ITR LSD. Just having the transfer of power by means of LSD rather than open diff causes a huge difference in the way the car feels/handles.

You can find them used for around $300 or so, and install is probably another ~$350. May as well get your clutch done while the tranny is dropped.

You should try and do Clutch/flywheel/LSD at the same time to minimize labor costs or labor headaches, depending on if you do it yourself.
