Yet another long drive with the Subaru guys... Mt. St. Helens Cruise [21 Pics]
Hey all. Another fun, yet long drive with the Subaru guys. We headed up to St. Helens towards Windy Ridge. Really fun drive until the forest service called the Sheriff on us.
Ready to ROLL-OUT!
FMIC Anyone?
282WHP VR4
Probably my favorite Suby at the meet. SSR Comps on Kumho MX's
Our beast... N/A 2.2L running 8:1 compression... Pretty insane!
(Turbo in 2 weeks.)
My driver decided it wasn't worth living anymore.
A quick fact about the mountain.... after it was all said and done, it blew out enough ash to fill up a football stadium....... with 150 mile high walls..... now thats a lot of ash
Thanks for looking.

WRX's are nice, especially the new ones. The 04's are making me think of selling my civic and saving some cash and putting a nice fat down payment on a black 04 WRX, and put the rest into mod money.

Subaru guys sure know how to have a good time. Care to elaborate on what happened with the sherrif? Did everyone pull over? Or just one, or two guys?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well when we got to the top of Windy Ridge and had to turn around, about a mile down they had the road blocked off and pulled us all over. They took the even organizer's name, address, phone no., etc. and gave us all warnings. So basically for the most part, everyone drove close to the speed limit the way home.
The reason they were called is we passed a few cars on double-yellows going up the mountain, as well as someone almost ran a forest service truck off the road apparently. Also, a biker went over the edge of the mountain too.... totalled his bike and he had to be ambulanced out. So that's the story.
