Default New resized pics of my HID install in my DC5. Enjoy.

Sorry for the new thread, I do not know how to resize them without loading them again and reformating the pixel count.
Here goes.

Here is the box from Xenondepot. Steve there is very helpfull and answered all my questions before the purchase. Most of my decision was that they are very pupular on the Clubrsx.com message boards. So I got a set. Best money I have spent in long time.

Here are the head light assemblies out of the vehicle. they state it is not required. I think it is, especially if you really want to be careful trying to get the HID bulbs into the holes. they fit perfectly but it helps to have some room behind them. Besides I needed the room to mount the ballasts under the lens assemblies. In a later pic.

Here are the H-1 factory bulb sockets next to the two extra ones I bought and then cut off with a dremel tool. This way the factory retaining clip will hold the bulbs in tight. Thanks to MyCarGoesVroom at clubrsx for this idea.
Here is a better view of the way the cut of H-1 socket fits over the HID bulb and the factory wire retaining clip. You also have to cut a notch in the side of the H-1 socket to pass the two wires through.

Here you cn see how the rubber grommet on the bulbs is just the right size to fit insode the factory rubber water/dust boot. It was a tight fit but both the pieces are rubber so it worked out great.

Here is a shot of the ballast assembly mounted to the under side of the head light lens assembly. I used to Honda mud-guard screws for each side and some of the double sided tape in the kit. There were screws in the kit to mount the ballast to something alse but they were to small to fit in the holes under the lens assembly.
I think the JDM and USDM housings have the same plastic outer portions, I say this BC the factory hid equpied Acuras have the bulb and igniter covered by @ a 4.0" cover that has three mounting screws. Just like the under side of my DC5 lenses.

There is a lot of information about the grounds being important to the ballast assemblies. So I mounted the pass side ground to the factory engine ground next to the power steering fluid resv.

This is a shot of the drivers side where you can see the ballast under the lens assembly and some of the wiring. I cleaned up all wiring after I tested that they would work. You cam also see the upside down filter on my DC-Sports CAI.
I wanted the metal seam on the filter to face up.

This is the battery where I attached the drivers side ground wire. All the wires had connecters allready on them. There were some wire tap devices in the kit but I did not need any of them. I attached the positive wire from the relay to the positive post terminal, and also trimmed the positive cover a bit so it would close.

I tested them out and all worked great. Note: it only plugs into the drivers side harness connector for the head lights. the relay powers both ballast assemblies. At first this threw me off, but then it really only needs one relay otherwise you have twice the wiring to install.
This is the 11:30 shot next to another DC with factory bulbs.

This shot does not do the light output justice but my DC5 is on the left and one of my friends 3.2TL-S on the right. You can not tell a difference at all. Thats why I chose the 4300Kelvin kit. It has te most lumens. and Steve at Xenondepot said after they burn in for a month or so they will look just like S2000 HIDs with a slight blue around their perimeter. Oh I love these things.
