It doesnt really matter to have a cai or intake period do you...cuz imma get the k&n oem replacement filter and take out the resonator...isnt it basically the same thing.

 

Mandrel bent piping flows alot better than the stock piping, boss. But yes, what you said will still get air from outside of the engine bay.

 

isnt the stock piping a rubber hose? curved instead of bent like the aem cai? curved would flow better then bent piping.

Have you ever looked at the rubber intake arm? It has tons of ripples and things to inhibit air flow. And what do you mean, curved is better than bent? whats the difference? CAI's are mandrel bent so they're fine, maybe you're thinking of crush bent, i dunno...

 

The Stock Unit would be better compared to the Comptech Ice Box

I don't Like the CAI Design cause there are TOO MANY Bends and this Negates the effectivness of the System. Secondly the Filter if too far from the TB and there is RISK of Damage due to water ingestion
