If you put an H22 in a crx you just ruined it. If all you like is straight line redneck drag racing feel free. Your car will lose lots of it's fun charictaristics. Go with a b-series, unless you are a straight line ****. I just wouldn't want to see you ruin a good car.
amen to that.
IMO, its a lot more fun taking a little rex and throwing it around twisties in the country than driving real fast in a line.
i suppose if it's not your daily driver, an h22 would be cool as ****...but i would never mutilate my rex for a h22 because i drive it everyday.

Dont be a buncha haters, maybe he likes going in a straight line fast, I know a lot of us do, why do any of us do swaps? To accelerate faster. I can have fun going around corners in a hf, give the guy a break.
Same here.. the only situation I'd ever suggest it in would be just a race car... I think AfricanQueen posted a question last night as to what to do w 10 grand for a drag car, and I said an H22 turbo. If it's just a straight line, then it'd simply KILL. Oh yeah.. Search n00b.
I don't think anybody has time slilps, but I have heard N/A H22'd CRX'es can hit high 12's, low 13's in the 1/4 mile.
But yeah, like everybody else said - don't waste your time.

You guys have no idea what the well you are missing! To bad there are just a bunch of narrow minded ppl who really dont understand that not everyone is interested in trying to take a turn at 10000mph and trying to keep it streight! The poor man asked a simple ?? and everyone turns on the guy. My crx used to be daily driven with the h22 and never had any problems with handling. And YES it was fun and i was able to do what ever the b-series swapped guys did and most of the time even faster on the road course than them.
Who the well said that you have to destroy a car in order to do the swap?
Another poor statement by someone who don't know anything about doing a swap CORRECTLY!

I didn't say he would destroy it I said he would ruin it. I also stated unless all he wants to do is straight line it is a bad idea, and it is. What do I know though I obviously know nothing about doing swaps, I've only been doing swaps in Hondas for the last 5 years? If all he wants is straight line go for it. I would rather my cars perform in handling also. Just my $.02
If you're that hardcore about the twisties, then I'm sure you'd suggest no swap at all, correct?...
H22/CRX
Don't listen to the 'handling' guys....they always think they're better than everyone anyway

Have you guys hating on the H22 ever driven an H22 CRX? They don't handle nearly as bad as all these guys are suggesting. The car feels front heavy and when going around turns it's super easy to spin the inside tire, but all in all it's an exceptable loss in handling for the gain in straight-line acceleration.
Remember, not everyone uses their CRX for daily driving.

Agreed.
So how many of you people saying "don't do it" have driven an H22 CRX.
The weight you gain with the swap can be compensated for by loosing other weight off the front.

Listen up HICKDEADS!
The man asked for CRX H22 timeslips.
He does not give a ***** about what is in your CRX
OR how fast you drive around a road course (because he asked for timeslips)
OR if you are CRX guru god
OR if you think that he'll be ruining/ destroying his CRX
OR if you think you've got the fastest crx
TIMESLIPS MEANS 1/4 MILE DUMBASSES!
So obviously he will NOT be interested in the "twisties" that we all love.. The CRX is a GREAT 1/4 car because it is light and inexpesive.... an H22 would certainly be an appropriate measure of accelerating this small vehicle.
I'm a roadcourse guy w/ a bad *** B16 so there

How about some pictures of the h22 in the crx and maybe some swapping details?
I have been considering a 5th gen just so I can put in an h22..but if I could keep my 4th gen hatch I'd be a happy camper!

Yikes... too many haters. You guys have to find some middle ground here. How about shifting the discussion to...
"Damn!! That H22 is fast as hell... now how can we make it turn better for the guys that are sceptical?"
Anyone know how to get the Rex's handling back to near stock once the H22 is in?
I'm neutral... I love you all. lol..

Hahaha love reading the "H22 to heavy" **** hehehe
Imagine you had a B series with a big *** turbo, steam pipe header, huge intercooler. Would anyone be saying "Man, your crazy, your front end is gonna be as heavy as a ****"?
Know what would be lighter than that setup......H22!!!
BTWw, no times to offer

an h22 swap is about 85 lbs heaver than a comparable b series swap. so weight isn't as big an issue as you might think. however, i still think a crx with one is a useless pile of dogshit. but hey, personal opinion right?

It's HEAVIER.
It's HEAVIER.
Friends of mine had a H22 hatch CX stripped weighed around 2000lbs....they put a 75 shot to it and were running low 12's..... they kept braking axles though like a mtf....
I think it would be hella cool to have a stock h22 in the car and just run 12-13's depending on how much you put into it pretty much all motor. Just be nice fun saying allmotor 4banger doin the 12's with little work.
Yes you'd lose handling but hey just think which is more valuable and suited for what you desire.....don't listen to the haters just ppl who answer the questions you have
WOOT WOOT h22 Crx Coo
B20/vtec turbo crx FUN FAST ^^ Id do this swap...but can compare prices and slips wonder which one

louisville Ky, where i am from there is a CRX hf with an H22/H23 frank and it had no head work at the time, was completly gutted with a 3gallon fuel sale and one seat ran a 11.5 at somewhere in the 100's(can't remember) on slicks. BUt when it launched on the little slicks that is what showed the power it came out of the hole like a 300 hp all wheel drive racecar.
verynice
and I am a twisty guy but I say go for it I bet it is just as fun.

Why would an H22 crx be a waste? That is bullshit. I would still rather do a b series due to all the other **** you have to buy. But don't knock it for dumb reasons like it won't handle well.
