205/50x15 falkens if you're gonna track the car. I've had both. max grip with azenis.

es100s are a bit more civilized street tire, but the grip diff is noticeable if you're gonna track the car.

if it were me, I'd have 2 sets of tires on dedicated rims for street or track.

now i'm more towards to es100 because of the trackion during the rain, is it "a lot " different between two tires one the track?

Ever consider Toyo T1-S, Dunlop FM-901, and Kumho Ectsa Supra 712?

712's shouldn't be on that list.. lol.. they suck.. they're.. O.K. for daily driving but horrible if you wanna track.

Street/wet/dry traction = es100's

Azenis are great for the price/performance... but they just don't last on the street+tracking.

You really have to decide where your performance preferences are.

Wet weather grip? (Yok)
Dry weather grip? (azenis)
Longevity? (Yok)
Track grip? (azenis...although I'd recommend a dedicated R tire if you'll be tracking the car)
Price? (depends but most places carry the yok 195/55 cheaper than the 205/50 azenis)

You can't have all of them in one tire. Which aspects are the MOST important to you?

ive experience both the azenis and es100, the es100's is good for the dry and wet, but for max dry traction, azenis is defintely better.

I am in the same situation.. specially here in Miami, rainy season, but the azenis is such a good buy... I just order me a set. Was also looking for a set of street tries, but for the $$$, azenis..

Kuhmo 712's are garbage.

es100's are great for daily driving. I liked them. Not bad on road noise, handled ok, great on wet roads. Good tread wear.

Azenis great for dry weather and performance.

Yea, if you want a tire that does it all, consider the S-03. Pricey, but it's worth it.

Another alternative is the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. I have them and their grip is 8.75/10 (Azenis, for me, being 10) and wet grip is spectacular. Stiff sidewall and reasonably priced at $79 for the 195/50 15. Great turn in too.

That being said, I'm going back to Azenis because it never rains here and I like grip, not to mention the $. Turn in isn't too important to me.

Having just got new tired, the Azenis are not good for street use. I got my Azenis the beginning of January. Yesterday, one of them got a leak and went flat on the freeway, when I pulled over it was shreaded to pieces.

I could get 1 tire because all my other ones were worn down too much, and I didn't want to get 2 tired since then I'd still have to get new rear ones soon (they were wearing quickly), and all the road construction around here had f'd my alignment, so they were wearing uneven.

I loved the Azenis... they grip like mad, but suck in the rain, and have no longevity. Ended up replacing them with the ES100s and so far they seem nice (still breaking in though). Like everyone else said, if you can, have 2 sets of tire for street and track.

I believe the current prices are $98 for the 195/50 and about $120 for the 205/50

And if you're going to do that, the ES100 is fine for the street, and you can get a set of real R compound tires (like A032R, RA-1, etc) for the track.

Al Bundy- what kind of shocks do you have? how low is your ride?
i had my falken azenis with about a 2 inch drop and good koni yellow shocks..
not so much camber wear...lasted me like 20k.
no tracking tho. so cali weather. i even got em slightly used.
and there was more camber wear in the beginning because i didn't have my
koni's at first and it was lower..and would dip more with the stupid H & R springs
(i have ground controls now)
but i have to admit..when i took em off..they were getting pretty bald...

i took em off during the rain season in favor of some 195/55/15 yokohama es100's
over all i like the es100's more...rain driving was great...no nervousness
last along time..

azenis ruled on turns..omg...bomb ****..even on my stock rims..
i bet if i tracked my car i'd appreciate the azenis more...
if it rains even just every now and then where u live...get the es100's.
get 205/50/15 if u want more sidewall.

I'd go with the yokohama es 100, theyre an overall good tire. I like them a lot. My friend used to have the Azenis but if ur gonna street em at all, these will be gone as soon as you buy them. And i drive my car, but if u just track it the Azenis are great.

Azenis aren't bad in the rain.. I mean .. whos going to drive hard in the rain anyway? .. unless your looking for a tire to perform well at a track in the rain.. azenis aren't difficult in the rain.. then again I only have 5K on mine so far

i've got the es100s, i've autoX with them tons and they still have a decent amount of tread on them. they seem to work quite well in the rain as well. to me, they seem like a great bang for the buck. if you're on stock tires, and you plan on going tracking or autoXing, then i would get another set of rims and put some real R-compounds on them instead if you've got the cash.

otherwise, the ES100 is great for all round performance.
