Default SAFC on bolt on ls ?

i'm thinking about getting the apexi SAFC for my car. is it worth it . i have a 2000 ls with i/h/e what kinda of numbers would i get and would i even need it ? how much of a pain in the *** is it to get setup.

i put a SAFC in my car wit i/h/e/bores tb/ and skunk2 manifold... with fuel tuning i gained ten whp... so it was worth it for me

sounds about right...

with basic bolt ons(i/h/e) a safc with some dyno tuning would bump u up 7-10whp..

Get a highflow cat or testpipe first.

With the afc, also look into cam gears and a FPR. Adjusting just the A/F is really only going to smooth out the powerband, where cam gears will let you tune some more power out of the stock cams.

hmm really 7-10 whp wow that good with just i/h/e might have to pick one up .. has anyone mounted it undernieth the cd player .. there is a gap their i wish i could put it their i dont really wanna block my stock gauges.

i had it mounted there also, but no more.. now its in my glove box...
a cop can pop ur hood if he sees the afc..., its probable(sp?) cause to look under ur hood.
he sent me to a referee

damn that sucks .. cops arent to strict in CT though. umm can somone tell me what the install of the safc involves ? and how did u guys get it to fit in that spot under the cd player ? any cutting or drilling ?

well to install it, u would need some electric tape, cuter, some gador grips or what ever does clips are called..
i didnt cut anything to mount it.... i just sliped the apex bracket between the cup holder and ashtry....

umm cant see pic. since you have to go to a dyno do u think the guys running at the dyno would install it for you and then tune it ? without like to much money extra.

a dyno tune ur looking at about 120$ an hour.. and it should take about less then 40 minutes to just tune the afc... ask them if they'll install it for u.
i had my friend(who had installed one on his car) help me out... take less then an hour to install.
