is jdm engine legit in S.california if i register to DMV

if i have papers for the jdm engine, is it legit to register
and anyone know how to get it pass smog

you can search around in the hybrid forum as well about the BAR sticker and smog refs...

I was under the impression that it's not the motor that won't meet specifications for smog, it's the JDM ecu that causes the car to fail smog... As long as you run an USDM ecu comparable to the motor you're running, you should be fine...
