I have a 6th gen accord v6 that maxed out at 110. It's a 2k2 and it's stock. Is this normal? It's not even close to redlining. Im a newbie and just got the accord so I was wondering about this.

 

my srs is also on and was wondering if that has anything to do with it.

 

I don't think it should... I've got a 93 Accord EX with 200,000 + miles on it and I managed this... actually do you have an EX or an LX v-6?

lol cruisin at 125, i thought i was cool for doing it at 105, btw how the hell did ur accord hit 125? mine didnt seem like it was going anywhere fast at 110ish.

 

how do u get rid of the chip or watever u call it cuz my car maxes out at 115. i've heard that it can go more but what is there to do to do that...??

 

IT was way up in Utah near the salt flats I had it set at 125 for about 20 miles, I couldn't catch up to the BMW 540i that FLEW by me like I was standing still when I was going 90MPH. I donno, the car is bone stock. And I actually have 64K more than the odometer says. Old speedometer got fried jump starting a friends crappy car.

 

so far i havnt had the chance to go much above 100 in my 90 dx. i just wish i wasnt so paranoid of cops...i need me a radar detector

 

iv had mine up to 135 on the highway but it was going downhill there's nothing you have to do to a 4th gen. to get it up past 100 just a long long road but i have heard that the other models except the ex have speed govoners

 

I have a 90 accord dx i have beed 125 in it on tha high way its a five speed.

 

that means mine is good to go till 125....woohoo!

 

i've pushed my 6th gen past 110 a couple of times. climbs slowly after 100 or so tho

 

i hav a 94 lx and it tops out at 117 oh well the new h22 and ecu from japan will fix that

 

JDM ecu's have a 112mph or 117mph limiter.......i just got rid of mine in favor of a chipped p28....now i can bury the tach......not that i do it much, but nice to know that it's an option

I will not answer any questions about speed limiters unless it is for a pure race car
