i was cleaning up my engine bay and noticed a dangling wire with a ring terminal on it right where the driver side highbeam is! the wire was thin and brown in color it also seemed really short but long enough to attach to the engine ground point on the chassis! i dont have a digital camera on hand so i cant take pics but does anyone know what wire this is? it seems to go down and into a wire loom so i dont know where it came from....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

its a ground wire

one goes conected to one of the valve cover oil seal
and the other to the corner by the timming belt..

 

if im uderstanding u correctly your talking about the engine ground which isn't what im talking about...i found a very thin wire as in stock speaker wire in a loom...it was hanging close to the highbeam bulb...im wondering what wasnt hooked up...BUMP!!!!

I agree sounds like some kind of ground wire.
A/C ground.
Fan ground.
Valve cover ground. on my 91 teg there are 2 ground wires at the valve cover, ones really thick with lots of copper strands and the other is 18 or 20 gauge thin brown wire also hooked to the valve cover.

oh and i fergot to add that the other ground next to the engine ground isn't the same as the one i am asking about!
