finally broke 13's
last night i went to portland international raceway and ran my best of a 13.9 i have a 88 crx si that weighs in at 2250 with me in it. i was rolling 00 si whels in the rear and hx wheels with m/t 20/14/6 slicks. my motor is a first gen b16a with aem cai, dc header, exhaust, str cam gears. everything else is stock. i am runnin a pw0 ecu and a j1 tranni anyways i just thought i would share, since alot of people on here dont think b16's can even hit low 14's

Hey good job!!! I go up to PIR every once and awhile I'm getting a b16a1 put in my rex really soon!!! We should race (even though you'd kill me) write to me at Russell1414@msn.com and tell me what your car looks like!
im really impressed with that time...i was just wonderin though, if your runnin slicks do you need stronger axles or can you use the stock ones...i was just wonderin. i have yet to go to the track. Im waiting for battle of the imports to come to joliet, ILL route 66. i dunno what ill hit but i wanna see what i can run befor the turbo is on cuz its almost done...but anyway congrats on the ET.

With slicks I believe it. Raene ran a 14.2 hitting the limiter in 2 gears with only I/crappy exhaust on slicks. Good times!

yea it was pretty cool. and as for the axle part. i am still using the stock 90-93 integra axles. what color was your crx, was it the red one or the yellow one. if you had the red one and someone came over and talked to you when you were jacking up the rear that was me. oh yea my car is a primer black crx, i was rollin si wheels in the rear and hx wheels up front. and have an aerogear wing.
oh yea mr.s i hit 14.2 missing 3rd gear. tried putting it in and finally got in the 2nd time. and oh yea i also forgot to say i have never timed it using a timing light. only by eye. i will use a gun when i go to woodburn.
i dont wanna hate, but alot of people forget, that we are buying motors and transmissions that are second hand. we have no idea whats in that motor, and i dunno if u do either, but a 97mph trap on a b16 is awesome for the weight. no dubt the trans helped alot soncidering my Y1 wont get me past 89

nice times, my d16a6 + 40 shot rex runs 14.7 at 97 on shitty *** 13" tires and a slipping clutch. i just bought some m/t 20/14/8" slicks and a new clutch and tranny, do you guys think i could pull a high 13 on slicks and new clutch? if not i will if i up the nos shot
i'm a pretty good driver, all motor i ran 15.4 at 87.

nah I know I could use some practice @ the strip. 2.3 60' times with massive wheel spin are definitely due to a driver with a lead-*** foot
dont have the car anymore, but I'm still bitter, only went twice and I was THAT close to hitting 14s.
Yes, I'm bitter
Slicks woulda been the easy way out
