99-00 Si's will be in the low 10's if it's just stock, you can probably hit a high 9 if you get a good launch

I'd say a 10.3 average for a stock or close to stock Si. Drivers play a big roll as i've seen I/H/E Si's run low 11's to low 10's.

All depends on the driver, strip, elevation.
Ive seen high 9s to high 10s on stock SIs.

I have a 99' USDM B18C1 in a 00' hatch and I got 9.5 1/8th time for my 14.8 FIRST RUN in my life. I know I can hit lower because I was launching too high on street tires. plus everyone was having a bad day

What does that have to do with a stock Si coupe?

lowlight - Did you ever run?
Are you guys coming out to Sav. Dragway Dec. 5th (friday)? I plan to rum my hatch with the new drag radials I picked up. Not new, but new to me. I'm hoping to beat my 9.357 time dramatically, lol!

Didn't you run an 8.9 with a stock b16?

I ran 8.7's in a VX hatch when I was I/H/E, yes.

I don't see how there is such a big difference in the times....

The VX hatch is like 5-600 lbs lighter than the EM1.

Yes, like he said this thread is for 99-00 SI's with B16's, not EG hatches. Big difference there.

The only civic I've ever seen hit 8's is notsocivic who had ls/turbo in an Eg hatch. I believe his best run was 8.8

There is another guy on here from the area as well with a b16/turbo in an Ek/coupe who ran a 9.2 at the track.

I just don't see how a mostly stock b16 (I have intake / exhaust on my Eg/GSR) can run 8's in the 1/8th. I read tons of times that it's no comparison with a b16 to a GSR stock to stock. I've also raced an Si before and blew it away. Yes, this was a 99-00 probably stock, but it wasn't close. You were also on street tires when you ran the 8.7 right?

Don't believe everything you read I guess

I ran those times on Nitto 555r radials. I know another guy running 9.5's in a B16 DX EK coupe on 555r's too. People underestimate the B16 based on what they hear but most of the time they are wrong.

I think the differences between the B16 and the B18C1 can easily be made up by the driver when they are in hatches, especially in drag racing.

i have a b18c1 in a 93 si hatch and ran a 8.9 1/8 with just boltons on azenis's. and the track is at 1300 feet above sea level. so if i was lower i could have seen a 8.7 easy and myabe even lower with 555dr's. and my hatch is heavier than nsxmatts vx. its a si with aftermarket swaybars and a welded in roll bar. everything gutted but it still weighs about 2150 with out me in it.

The car is capable. Its all about practice and cutting good 60's. If you run 70+ MPH w/ ET's in the 10's your car would most likly be there with a better launch.

December 5th will be a big night for my hatch. Hopefully, I will break into the 8's. The runs will be filmed (MiniDV).

When you have 5 other cars who can't do it what am I suppose to think?
