Default changed my tranny fluid and now...

changed my tranny fluid and it was black as hell. now when i shift from 2nd to 3rd i hear a scratch every time! only way i can stop it from scratching is to let the rpm's drop and then shift it to third.?! what the hell can is it? is maybe bad syncros? also i have a bad clutch master cylinder that leaks occasionally and i have a b&m short throw.

You can try the GM syncromesh stuff. Supposedly takes away grinds...... If you search there are like 2 massive threads on it.

also remember, after you replace your tranny fluid, go easy on it for a week or so, the grind will probably go away after a week or so if you easy on it, happens to me everytime i change mine.... Also make sure you put the proper amount in, too little or to much can cause that, 2 quarts, thats it.

maybe you should try fluching and bleeding your clutch line. Maybe when you press on the clutch it isnt fully disengaged and thats why you have grinds. Just another possibility. Maybe the last time the tranny was serviced, it was filled with 10w30 oil. tranny fluid doesnt get that dark unless you have more than 100k on it.

about that gm syncromesh, how long would it take for me to notice any difference or progress after changing the oil?
BTW: i did check out the two threads about this stuff! sounds like a real good move for me. today i just changed the oil again with some tranny additive made from LUCAS but it still scratches when i shift from 2nd to 3rd
any other helpful info would be greatly appreciated.
