DON'T PAY LABOR CHARGES FOR A MAIN RELAY SWAP, IT IS SOOO EASY!!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that their is no reason to take your car in for a main relay swap. It took me 30 minutes and that included pulling the seat so I could lay down and reach under the dash.
Here is the deal:
Pull the drivers seat.
If you are laying on your back with your head resting near the break pedal, you'll see a 3"x4"x1" approx. silver box. 2 screws hold it on and it mounts at an angle. Take it off and ther is the relay.
You have 2 10mm nuts to remove, you'll need a deepwell scocket for this so don't even try without it. Remove the 2 nuts
Their is a black plastic part that was flexible enough for me to move over after loosening the fasteners.
Unhook the connector on the main relay and replace with a new one. Don't worry the connector is idiot proof.
Like i said it took me 30 minutes from start to finish.
And also thanks to RioNinja he's the one that advised me of the main relay problem to begin with.
Hope this helps.
