I am one of the original members that was here when Honda-Tech was put up. AKA TEGFREAK. My post eventhough had a story it also had a tech question. You guys need to relax with all these post getting deleted. Just because it doesnt fit in with your way of thiking, doesnt mean its not good enough. Everytime I post something it gets deleted. You need to relax that **** and have some respect for the original members. This is the kind of bullshit why good people leave this board all the time. This is a Type R message board for heavens sake, for people to learn, meet people and have fun. Since when did it become such a communist board?? Your even deleting OT ****. Yeah, what the hell is going on around here? This last week the Regime has really cracked down.

This forum is about "From racing tips to JDM questions" - the fun part is talking about everything in between.

 

I don't know you, so I have no opinon of you. I'm no one to judge your posts because I didn't read them... however, I have complained to the moderators about the huge increase in off topic posts... It's gotten to the point that it seems that many, many posts have dick to do with the Integra Type-R board.

I'm sure the "owner" is aware of the "rules" of the board... If it were not for "rules", I'd be feeding 99.7% of our human population to my young 3 times a day...

 

I am all for rules and keeping this a Type R board (have you visited the Member's Corner board lately, I do not want that). The only problem is that there are a only a few moderators, and these moderators are responsible for using their intrpretations of posts to determine if it is deleted or not.

What makes a post a valid post here? Do the words "Type R" have to appear in the message? Does it have to be yet another post about Toda cams? That will get real boring real fast.

I don't frequent all the other boards here at H-T.com, so I don't mind talking about Auto-X, Honda in F1, or pics of the latest bad-*** car.

If we need everything to be On-Topic and we need to police it - then I suggest we create a Wheels forum, a Cams forum, a Mugen forum, a header forum, a "how fast does the R go" forum, a drag racing forum, an event calendar forum.... you get the picture. Then everybody will know exactly where to go to get only the information the want.... I'm kidding of course, but I think I've made my point.

 

Zeus, I happen to know the guy who started Honda-Tech, we met through off-topic, even slept next to him and a smelly feet guy (but that's another story) hehehe OT posts were getting abundant, but most of the people here know each other so well that a particular subject might not mean squat to you, but to other members it does. Im sure he's not so uptight like somebody who's deleting threads. My thread actually had to do with Type R's, so why did he feel it had to be deleted?? It made better sense than the 500 threads that Brent posted about his S2000.
Its obvious he's targeting only the threads that he doesnt like. He's being prejudice. I dont see for sale threads being deleted, but they belong in classifieds. They dont bother me one bit, but if theyre going to be delete happy, they should do it for everything, not just somethings.

How is "should I use the springs for my exhaust bolts, or just the bolts with out springs on my R" a deletable subject?? You think if lip,sgt,god,smsp, etc posted thatit would of gotten deleted?? No, because he knows that they know the answer to that, but since i'm not them I must be an idiot and I shouldnt get help. **** him, that's pissing me off.. Im done..

 

Teken, I agree with your "clean-up" of the forum... the point I was trying to make is that it is difficult to be consistent and fair in these type of things.

 

no man, "...500 threads that Brent posted about his S2000..." is the kind of **** I was getting tired of... etc etc... one would have sufficed in that matter... I hate people who abuse power because they can, I know all about the abuse of power... dealing with it is a part of my job...

Teken, You say it should be Type R related, and you asked me what my thread was about that got deleted. It was all Type R related. This is the only forum that I go to. I dont go to the other ones mentioned and not, because of the BS you talk about. 99.9% of my topics are Type R related, some get replies some dont, but that crap that happened to those other boards are happenning here, and it sucks. Power happy moderators are mostly the cause of those other boards turning crappy.

I think you might be alluding to myself and if you notice my member title and position I no longer have clout here. There were some disagreements that the other guys didn't want to discuss so I have stayed as a member and started an integra focused site (www.bseries.net) It happens to have a message for on it for civics and Integras as well but is more focused on the information we all look for and publishing that info.

As for the board direction. This place was started with Technical Info in mind. I came up with the name Honda-Tech with the help of DFH (Decal Free Honda's) who happens to be a technically minded Honda group (Even the smelly foot guy is a member ). It has been going astray from Tech info much longer than any of you have been complaining. I used to once help guide things but although I agree with this step don't feel it my position to police it.
