Anybody running wider than a 205?
What sidewall, wheel size and offset? Lowered?
I'm wondering what a 235 would be like.....
ao32r's come in 225/50/15 too.....
And kumho 712's come in a 225/40/16.....

I'm currently running 215/45/16 Azenis on 16x7 5Zigen FN01R-C +42mm offset.
I had the car pretty low at first and the tires rubbed in several places front and rear (see pic):

Now have the car maybe an inch or so lower than stock and have only had it rub at full lock over bumps while autocrossing (see pic):

Like everyone says, the 215 Azenis look more like a 225 really wide. HTH

225/50 and 225/45 work, but you will get a little rubbing at full lock, and also the trailing arm will get polished. You need at least a finger's width of clearance b/w the rear tires and the trailing arm, because they will get deflected by about that much under hard cornering.
I'm running effectively 40mm offset up front with a lot more camber than you'll ever use on the street, and 38 in back.

.....I was running 205/50/15 azenis on 15x7 +43 te37's for a while. Good wheel and tire combo, but I want wider! I've also tried a 15x6.5 with the 205 azenis and it doesn't fit well, imho. It is more of an hourglass shape in the tire, whereas a 7" wide wheel with the 205 azenis is square...
So now I'm going with 15x7.5 +40 cp035's, and they cause the azenis sidewall to bow outwards... These would be good for a 215 or 225, imho... And I'd like to try a 225, so maybe the ao32r is the tire for me..... I don't care if I have to roll the fenders or flare them out, etc...
My future intention is to run a 15x8, but I can't decide what offset... +27 maybe?
And I'm wondering if anyone has gone wider than 225... maybe 235, or even 245?
I also have some 16x8 street wheels, and I'd like to run at least a 225 with those..... I take it nobody other than Andrew (2fcknfst) has tried a 225 on a 16x8?

I ran/run 225/45/15 Hoosier a's & Khumo V700's on the 7" Te37's for autocross. On a stock suspensioned R.
The Hoosiers are a bit wider than the Khumo's and rub a bit more as a result.
I run Azenis on stock wheels and on 7" K1's for daily and track.

would 215/50/15 Azenis be too wide for a 7" (+43 TE37 as well)... meaning if it will get "sloppy" like 205 is on a 6" rim? Since Azenis are slighly wider than advertised.
I'm currently running 205/50/15 Azenis on stock suspension... was thinking of going slightly wider... my only concerns are rubbing (and of course clearing everything in the wheelwell).

Uhm...
Sometimes our guys (roadracing) choose 195 tires for a 8`` rim. The more stiff the tire gets and the lower you can go with your car...
Depends on the tire brand but on a 7 rim I normally would say get a 205 tire or better: a 195 tire.. 215 is okay just for street application.

Sorry, stupid question
I just remember one of those reality shows called, "Stupid things caught on tape" or something like that. There was this one clip from Europe with an ITR (with a really similar color scheme as yours) trying to outrun a plane.. or something to that effect. The plane ended up landing on the car and breaking the windshield.
Thought it might have been yours..

Haha...okay.
those are just stickers I bought the car with... I learned to like `em since they don`t hurt performance but protect the paint when sliding in the dirt during a competition

i have a gsr with 17" oz superleggeras +37 offset and stock suspension. i would like to run 215's for my next tires will they rub at all.
currently running 17X8 SSR competitions +48 with 215 40 kumho mx's. A little bit of rubbing and you have to run negative camber or they won't fit at all with out rolling the edges. Car is lowered with gc coilovers. Don't know how much I dropped the car because I was worried more about getting the car balanced.

I don't know why, but that's one of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
