Thinking of selling the R
Toying with the idea. I have a hankerin for rear wheel drive. An 02 S2000 may be calling my name. I got 68k on it, with a fresh clutch. It's been bathed in mobil1 since 10k miles, and changed routinely. My question is how much do you wise folks think I should be asking? Do you think I could get about 16-18k for it?

I would say since your in oregon there isnt many for sale but then again there isnt a lot of people who understand the value of these cars...I would say that around $15k because soon that car is going to be in the 70k miles and thats starting to get up there for a type R.

I don't think so. His R would fetch good money in Seattle & Portland area.
dwtyper - Cross post your FS ads in Seattle Times Portland area newspapers. Unless you're located in the eastern corner of OR, you shouldn't have any problem selling it for your asking price.

You understand the S2000 is RWD?
And start out asking 17,500 and go no lower then 16,000

I'm in the same situation with my car.
No A/C, P/S, and an overall rough *** ITR is starting to bore me. I mean, how am I supposed to drive around a new girlfriend in this POS?
Only thing aftermarket on my ITR is the comptech icebox and spoon n1.
Everything else is JDM except for the front end @ 38K miles

Damn, Skaf. Maybe that's why you have a <u>new[/b] GF. Maybe the car was too harsh for the ex.
BTW, what happened to your P/S and A/C? Why don't you put 'em back in? A/C rules in the summer!

Oh yeah, that's horrible...70,000 miles....man...sell it quick...I have a friend who boosted his ITR at 75k...still purring like the day it rolled off the line....these things are designed to go over 200k.

Thanks folks for your replies. The largest reason for me wanting the S2000 is honing my driving skills further with rear wheel drive. I occasionally drive them and have much more fun in it than in the R. The shifting is more precise, the road feel is better. Perhaps the answer is to stiffen up the suspension a bit to increase the experiance during sprited driving.
