Default Is it a problem to import a right hand drive car?

I am looking at a right hand drive Crx right now that is in england and I am wanting to get it shipped to california. I was wondering if there would be any complications on it not being street legan or anything. - thanks

right hand drive cars are completely legal....

RHD cars in america seen everyday:
1-Mailman
2-milkman (lol)
3- UPS
4-other delivery trucks
5-some golf carts
6-bunch of other imported cars,,,

two ways.... in pieces or as a whole...

in pieces, all you do is register the car as a kit car and dmv will give you a vin, i dont know what else you need

as a whole... car needs to be crash tested, and rhd and lhd isnt the same car, thats why motorex(skyline importer) is the only company that can bring over skylines because they crash tested quite a few of them... also run into problems getting it onto american soil....

thats all I know, but most people I know who had/have shipped/purchased rhd cars were brought over in pieces

There was a big thread about this about a month ago, and no it's not that easy, it's a pain and it'll cost you a ton of money. I'll see if i can find it.
