Default My ZC --> LS valvetrain swap by DH Racing !! Check it out!!

First of all these guys are the greatest to deal with. I've had some pretty shitty experiences with shops and parts dealers over the last year (my JG engine Dynamics experience), but this was the exact opposite. I asked a ton of questions before i even sent the head out and they had no problem answering all my question and most of the time it was the same day!!!! Yeah i said the same thing, i didn't have to wait a week to get a response. They also had it done pretty quick, they had it just less than 2 weeks, plus a week shipping there and a week back to me. I tell ya what , i know the LS valvetrain is only slighty bigger than the ZC stuff, but when it's in there it looks so much bigger. All in all i'm really excited to get this bad boy put together. I would definately recommend these guys to anyone that needs engine work done. Grear customer service, great prices, and excellent workmanship.here are a few pics

And here it is all put together, purdy ain't it

i've talke to dh racing too being that they are local and i must say probably the most personably and professional people i've dealt with in regards to building engines and stuff.

they actually willing gave me info that made me decide not to use their services cause i didn't need too and it saved me a lot of money, they were just like "no problem hopefully we can help you in the future"

Yes fourth gen that's a turbo manny your seein' there, with my purdy 38mm tial i just got today. Your not gonna believe me when i say it but nothings powder coated here, it's all spray paint. Spray paint can look great and last forever, you just need to prep well. The valvecover was totally stripped and i saned it dwon in stages to make it pretty smooth. Those 6 shiny sections i polished. There are 3 coats of Duplicolor 1200 degree paint, i let it fully dry and then applied 2 coats of clear. Same thing with the intake.

As for my setup, the block is fully built. Sleeved JG Engine Dynamics block, SRP pistons and Eagle rods w/ ACL bearings. The head cost me 980 all together with shipping, worth every damn penny in my opinion. A built motor is useless if it doesn't have a head to match. Right now i have a crappy T3 turbo (.60/.48), i will be getting a Precision SC 34 from Art soon. I'll be boosting upwards of 20 psi, i'd like to see the 350hp mark, shouldn't be a problem. Oh yeah, i also have a Zdyne ecu, hehe, that thing is fun to play with. I'm just waiting for my ARP studs and it's all going together. I'll keep you all posted.

Yeah, i dealt with a guy named Josh Truex at DH. This guy was great all the way through everything. I've emailed the poor guy so much i'm suprised he didn't throw his computer at me. Even though i live all the way in MI, there the only shop i'll be dealing with in the future, it's worth the wait in shipping time.

Here's the link to my JG thread, read up https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=547815
As far as the cams, there stock ZC ones. DH has some regrinds for it but i'm out of cash for the moment, but there actually pretty affordable, i believe they were 300 for the set. I'd like to get those old HKS cams for the ZC but all the ones i've seen for sale are like 800-1000, screw that.

adaM</TD></TR></TABLE>I got the ACL's through KS Motorsports from here. A++ all the way, great guy, great prices, quick shipping. As far as the valve train, there dual alloy springs, titanium retainers, and i believe the valves are stock.

No the stock LS springs are significantly weaker.

So they change out the spring seat on the head correct. The stock ZC spring seats seemed a little small when I was comparing valvtrain parts earlier this year.
