No he's talking about a B-pillar bar not C-pillar, b-piller = harness bar =where you strap your harness's too.
some one in the classified has a custom one.. mounts @ the b-pillar and the floor board.

this one is pretty cool....
that is the "EM Racing pro kit" i think...
seriously though, if you want a harness bar, get a rollbar. but, i cannot say anything, as this is my car (not driven very much on the street, mainly to and from autocrosses)
it is a speedware motorsports stainless bar

their customer service was pretty lousy, but the bar is rugged and fits pretty good. I don't remember which one I bought, but they should be able to tell you which one fits. I bought it more for my camera mount. I run my harness back to the C-pillar - the harness has a pretty severe angle if mounted to the bar and interferes with the headrest.

Just dont be stupid and mount the harness TO the bar like this guy did.
But I guess thats kinda moot since you shouldnt be using harnesses without a cage anyway.

Back from the dead. Why is this a bad setup? I want to run a harness but dont want a roll cage. this seems like a good setup. Please explain

Because in the even t that your car does roll over.....you will be stuck in the upright position while the roof collapses on your head.
Imagine being held tightly to your seat, not being able to lean in either direction.....and having the roof crunch in on your dome.....that's the concern. Yes for an autocross only it is pretty safe.......BUT there have been recent rollovers at autocross, so people cant really say that it is safe anymore. Unlikely for rollover at low speeds YES, BUT injury with a bar like that during a rollover IS ALMOST CERTAIN.

Because it's potentially dangerous.
If you roll the car, especially at track speeds the roof tends to cave in and the car can become a pancake.
Now picture yourself all strapped in nice and secure and tight and BOLT UPRIGHT. Where does your head go when the roof collapses? It doesn't have too many options and your spine will either most likely be compressed or just snap like a twig. When you're in OEM seatbelts your body can slide to either side, and when you have at least a rollbar the bar will stop the roof from collapsing.

Wow I never thought of that. But the thing about alaska is we dont have tracks up here but I might invest in a roll cage just in case I have an accident on the highway out here. thanks guys

Rollovers don't only happen on tracks. They can happen anywhere you drive, on the street, freeway etc. I just pointed out the track since the speeds are higher and the possibility of rolling over on track is a bit higher. If your car is a street car it's best to stay with one system of safety not mix and match and miss something.
