Well as you know there was a huge blackout in all of Ontario and some parts in NY State, and I was coming home, applied the 4 way stop rule and started to pull out and across the intersection, I was about 3/4 of the way through when I saw the car that was 2 blocks away, still coming fast as ever not even thinking about stopping.. I closed my eyes and covered my face and the next thing I knew I was in a full 4 spins... I came to a stop and got out and my whole rear end was messed.. some people ran over that were at the lights (this was all at night) and helped me get my harness off so I could get out.. I had a minor cut on my leg but other then that I was okay... I see the pruple neon who hit me just down the road a bit wehn his car turns on and drives away? I yelled at him (cant say what I said) and when back to my car.. well sitting stuck in my rear bumper was... haha HIS FRONT BUMPER WITH LISCENECE PLATE!!! So... the cops were called and since it was a hit and run on a high state of emergencey with no power, hes getting max sentence and my car may be written off and covered fully for all my parts!! here are some pics I took today..





I put so much time and money into that car.. I hope its not written off

Well the toe guy said he thinks its a write off, he said all the alignemnt of the windows and **** are off, so that the body twisted and the frame is messed up, the wheel also sits on an angle and the axels are both snapped.. I hope its a write off and I get what I put in the car, and I hope its not so I can keep it and have more fun with it maybe a cool paintjob and go wingless with a nice cf lip

Well all I want is 15K for the car.. I knwo its worth atleast 19, if they say there going to buy the car from me 9000 then let me buy it back for like 200.. then I will take the 9000 and sell all the parts I have, which is equivalent to another 8 or 9000..

so much for having a perfect driving record.. does age matter in a case like this? Im 17 and I know Im a new driver but I still deserve as much as an older driver would get..

When my friends 98 GSR was totaled out she bought it back for $2500 which is still a good deal considering she can sell the motor for like prolly 3 grand alone, I don't know if all insurance companies are the same but......When my old 90 civic si was totaled i bought it back for only $250.....

 

I hear you man...I got a 94 teg...had it for about a month now....and last friday drivin down to do some campin and hit a storm...I got hail damage down the whole car....and I just wrote my other car off in June when I hit a deer.....I gotta stay off the roads for a while....

Similar thing happened to my friend's crx earlier this summer. He was getting off the highway, and came to a stop at the end of the exit, only to be rear ended by a "full size car, like a buick or something" (that is how vague the description was) that ran. Nothing on his car was covered

If the car is totaled Id sue for the amount that it would cost to replace the car since you Probably wont be able to completely pay another one with the money from the insurance. I would lie about injuries either.
