, oh I am pissed, my friend totaled his 98 ITR, he was doing 70 on the freeway, two mustangs racing towards him from the rear, weaving in and out of traffic, they come up on the ITR's aZZ, one tries to pass him on the shoulder, and when he gets on the shoulder, he notices they are coming to a bridge and the shoulder has gone away, so he jerks back over, hits the ITR's right rear fender and causes my friend to spin out, the shoot across the road to the other side and hit the other side rail, he twisted his chassis and fucked up the right side of his car and the nose. engine bay is great and the cabin is perfect. FYI he told me that was the smoothest wreck, he got out just perfect and cant believe how safe that "accident" was. he compliments the strut tower bars and built in rollcage for the cabin and engine bay staying intact. He plays on buying it back, and I am wondering if I should buy the head and the intake manifold for my GS-R, will those fit, and then I am going to buy his exhaust, interior, wing, and other misc. parts, anybody here want an ITR engine wih 58000 miles on it.

 

Damn - another one is gone. Sad.

I feel like we are a dying breed..and NONE is due to our own foolish actions...

 

I recently heard that the intake fits perfectly in a GS-R, but doesn't add any horse. I could be wrong. That really sucks about the accident, but thats cool he's selling the parts to you!

Out of curiosity, how much for the engine? Might be interested if the price is right.

There would be one less ITR and two dead Mustang drivers if that happened to me.Anyhow,why doesn't he buy it back and do a hatchback up real nice.He would have everything to do a real cool hybrid.

oh dont worry, he is perfectly ok, I just got back from his apartment, we spent the afternoon returning his R to stock, that way he has all his aftermarket parts for sure.

 

I'll buy the engine swap off of him if he decides to sell it out. Including the tranny, axles, ECU, etc. the whole enchillada...

 

Were either of the other drivers ticketed for the accident? just curious

that really sucks man, that's why i hate mustangs and don't race in traffic, cuz of **** like that... and if you're crazy enough to drive on the shoulder an a car that handles worse than a 747 jet, you should be shot... i'm glad the dude's ok, and is he buying another ITR? hopefully insurance is gonna get it right?

neither of the two mustangs stopped, they left my friend on the side of the road. He owes 15500 on the car so, I am sure that insurance will pay off the loan, and he may get 1500 left over but I dont know, the chassis is definetly twisted, he wants to get a WRX, he has one already picked out. he was selling his car before all this happened and I was getting ready to buy it, and now? I dont know what I will do.

 

hey EL POLLO DIABLO, I just talked to my friend and he wants to know what you would pay for each of those parts, and he also said you could possibly buy the hole car off of him as soon as he finds out what insurance wants to buy it back.

he was on 75 where it turns into 45, or something like that, he was on his way to ennis, to run his car, the mustangs were a black saleen and a silver GT, the GT is the one that hit him

Hey guys.......this post is about me........I'm the dude w/o my R now, I find out tomorrw if it is totaled. From the looks of it, it prob. is. I got to drive it to a body shop today with my mom following me. She called my cell and was laughing b/c the car was driving so crooked. My mother really hates that my baby was gone b/c she loved driving it as much as I did.
