Ok I am about to buy a hatch and put a b18c5 in it and wanted to know what kind of experiences you guys have with nitrous. How much van it handle daily and what kind of plugs and kit you guys use. Or is this even a good idea fot a type r motor? Thanks for the help

my avatar is all fun and games until something goes wrong. Big Pete (itr206) had good experiences with it. I happen to have a bad experience. First I chipped a valve, then the rings went and eventually had to buy a new shortblock which I'm still paying for.

Id have to say that Ive heard more bad than good. I know someone recently that blew up his GSR motor from spraying. Chances are it wasnt tuned or used properly. But I still wouldnt F with it on my R. Its just asking for trouble IMO, especially if A) you dont know how to use it correctly, B) use it too often, and C) dont have it tuned right(retard timing!!).

trust me there are like 40 posts i particiapted in against the anti FI ***** on here
do the research and get it tuned right, knwo your **** and youll be cool.
mine was sick on the bottle

 

I regreted going nitrous

* Refills get expensive and annoying
* Car is only fast at the flip of a switch
* The best races find you when your **** is empty
* B18c5 - such a nice motor, i wouldn't want NAWZZ to touch it
* Last I blew my gsr motor on a 75 wet shot

It can make some good power if done and tuned correctly but i'd rather go Turbo

dont always count on that cuz mine was going mid 13's off the bottle so i was spanking quite a few people around . i had the bottle for the biiiiig boost guys and nasty v8's
damn awd dsm's i needed something to catch up becuase fo the holeshot

Yeah but mine wasnt a C5 it was a C1 with bolt ons . Sounds like you had a kick *** NA setup .

 

mien was a simple bolton set up , but it did the trick
