Default Fair price for ITR 16" RG wheels?

Guys,

Since the wheels I have are specifically designed for the ITR, I figure you all would know better than anyone. What is a fair price for 16" RG wheels in perfect condition custom painted gunmetal? I have been asking $1250. Is that in the right ballpark?

Thanks,

Mike D.

Hi Mike,
honestly I think that's too high for the RG, even for 16" TE37 it's still high IMO.

IIRC, the RG is cast right?

Thanks Wai. What's up? How's your ITR? I don't know if you remember, but we met at GingerMan a few years back. You had some nice Spoon brakes and I had some sad beat up Prelude wheels on my ITR at the time. I think the RG are cast. I have heard them referred to as both cast and forged, but never from an official source, so I am not sure.

Nice wheels but i have a feeling the fact that you painted them will lower their value somewhat.

Yeah Mike I remember you. We had our little ITR track day 2 yrs back in Gingerman (like 7 of them?). I think you broke a wheel stud that day too.

Back on topic, you might not like to hear it, but I think $1000 would be a reasonable price for your wheels. I have seen quite a few sets of good condition 16" TE37 for sale for around $1200 or less. 15" TE would actually sell for more.

Yes the RG is cast. Advan call it high gravity casting. I think 1000-1200 is a good price.
Hi Mike I don't know if you remember me but I'm the guy with the gold RG on the PY R. If you remember the pics.

I remember the pics. Very nice car! Do you still have that car? It seems like since I sold my car half a year ago, every time I check this board someone else either had his car stolen or wrecked it. I miss the R but it is nice being able to park anywhere (even NYC!) without the fear that my car will be stolen or vandalized.

Yes I still have the car. I'm not going to sale it. I love it too much. O and good luck with selling the rims and I ask around if anyone wants it. O and they are 16*7.5 with 45 offset like my right.
