Default Air Intake System

Just wanted to get a general review of the following air intake systems. Being in Australia, AEM products are very dear and with the option of JDM parts freely available and cheaper. Hence, the AEM CAI is not included.

a) J's Racing Tsuchinoko Carbon Intake
b) A'pexi Power Intake
c) KNN
d) BMC Intake

Japanese magazine revspeed reviewed the Knn and apexi along with blitz, hks etc and Apexi came up tops. Another recent survey in Option2 magazine rated KNN as the TOP filter (air flow, performance).

Anyone out there with an apexi or j's racing or anyone that have tried all the above? Please do comment

Cheers

Just recently installed J's Racing CF Intake, so far I"ve been happy with the gains in low-mid response, sounds great too.

J's always puts down great numbers and people are happy with them. A'pexi makse a great air filter, but nothing special along the lines of a full intake system. Personally I would pick up a J's or a Comptech Icebox.

I love my J's as well. If you get one... change out the filter with a K&N replacement.

I'm running a Comptech Icebox, but the J's design has always been something that has intrigued me.

One of these days I'll order one for inventory.

Thanks all for the feedback. Will go with the j's with a knn filer element. Hopefully, i can get a dyno test within the coming weeks.

This is what i got:

st. may shotgun exhaust
mugen 4-1 extractors
straight through pipe with dummy cat

Wonder how my JDM itr will match up against the export version of the R (USDM, ADM)

Thanks.
