Alright so here is the full story -
Yesterday, i go to start my car and it decides it dosent want to start. So i get online, post away, and figure out that it could be the clutch switch.. the little plunger like button that the clutch pushes in when its not being pushed down by my foot.
So after a while, i just push the clutch in with my foot, push the button in with my finger, and BAM my car starts.. after that it starts a few more times. Well i go to start it this morning and it dosent want to start again. So this is what i do -
I unplug the clutch switch and use a paperclip to complete the circuit on the plug, but the car still dosent want to start. I try it over and over, and eventually it starts. But whats weird is that, i leave the clutch switch unplugged, and turn the car off, and turn it back on, and it starts again! How does this make and sense? Dosent the clutch plug have to be plugged in for the car to start? What else is weird is that my car started when the button was pushed in, which would technically be like the clutch pedal not being pushed in.
My ultimate question is, does it sound like its the clutch switch, or is my car just starting by luck each time by trying over and over, or is it really the starter that is going.
Sorry for such a long post, but i need to figure this out. Why is my car starting without the clutch switch plugged in? Any info would be great! Thanks.

Here is my post from yesterday if anyone wants to read it -

Also, when you press down the clutch pedal with your foot, isnt it supposed to push the plunger (clutch switch) in? Well when i press my pedal, it moves away from the switch, letting it out, is this how the circuit is completed?
How is my car starting without the circuit being completed? I think it just may be my starter going, and that each time it starts, its by luck... because it seems that its taking more and more try's to get it to start..

It sounds like it could also be your ignition switch as well. I had a similar problem, my car would not start but every time I stepped on the clutch it would, my clutch safety switch is not even hooked up because it was an auto before. Basically it fixed itself for 3 months. Then it would not start one day so I just replaced the ignition switch and never had the problem again.
You could take it out and look if the metal contacts are wore down. Or you can bypass it and see if the car starts that way.
