I'm not really sure what type of engine to get for my 91 civic hatch.....i'm limitid in money so i dont know what to do.....so far i only have $1500 to use........and i'm not sure what to buy.......b16 sounds good but damn.....everyone has it.....i dont mind getting it but i wanted something different.....everything else is to much.....so what should i do?

I just grabbed a d16y8 from a 97 civic ex (127 hp) and it will drop right in and bolt up to my cable tranny. The only pain is the wiring required for converting my car to MPFI and hooking up the vtec.

The easiest way to go would be an a6 si motor or a z6 which is very similar to the y8. I picked up motor and tranny for 500 and then I had to buy an ecu, wire harness, axles and hubs... look around and there are many good deals to be had...
