Does anyone know if using a 2000 EX wiring harness will work on a 98 CX motor?

 

you might have issues here and then...you'd def want a 99-00 ECU!

Depends on what car the motor is going in.

2000 harness will only work in a 99-00 car.
If you put the 98 Cx motor in your car, you need to either run a conversion harness or find a 99-00 cx/dx ecu.

If you run the conversion harness, you're going to get a couple codes..

 

wont fit, you need the main harness out of a 99 as well. The green interior plug and ECU is different.

 

it will work but you will need to modify cabin harness coz you will have an extra plug. 96-98 civics has 3 plugs as the 99-00 has 4 plugs

 

whatever year the car is use that year harness. if you have a 98 cx and wanna use the 00 ex harness then you need the main harness also.
