1996 Civic CX Engine Harness Questions
I have a 1996 Honda Civic CX hatchback, that I am getting ready to swap a B20vtec into. I was wondering if I would be able to use a '99 SI harness, and what I would have to do to get it to work/

Re: 1996 Civic CX Engine Harness Questions
Just use your stock harness. Add the wiring for VTEC, knock, and 2 wire IACV. Depending on what exhaust manifold you use you'll also might need to extend your primary O2. The 99-00 Si harness won't work unless you plan on swapping out the cabin harness as well as an additional portion of the ECU harness is built into the cabin harness. You could also use a 96-98 EX (D16Y8) manual transmission harness as it will have all the above listed items on it as well. Usually people just add the additional wiring. Check my sig below as I have the added wiring necessary to wire it up that'll be cheaper than getting a new harness.

Re: 1996 Civic CX Engine Harness Questions
I bought the car as a project car. The last known motor the car had in it is a boosted H22. I still need a harness, and a friend of mine has a SI that he is parting out and said I could get the harness cheap. I plan on converting everything to odb1 and run my P28 with hondata. But I am wanting a harness where I have the less headaches.

I would just get a d16y8 harness, everything will be there you would need. Why you want to swap everything over to obd1? Run everything obd2 so you wont have to worry about jumper harnesses except for the jumper harness you will need for the harness ecu plugs to the ecu, which you could pick up for pretty cheap.
