2001 type r motor in a 91 HF CRX
Guys I need a lot of help... I want to put a type r motor in my crx. Can someone please give me a detailed guide that I can follow as far as what i need for the swap as well as how it is to be done. I also would like suggestions on some additional parts that have to be purchased and how the wiring is set up...thanks in advance for all your help
I don't usually say this, but do a search on the topic. It has been covered numerous times, I think the most recent was about 2 months ago.
YOU NEED:
Hasport mounts
Hasort Shift linkage
Hasport's new cable to hydro conversion kit (might still be in the works but I know they have it)
OR
you could get a new pedal assembly and get a slave cylinder
And here is where it gets tricky:
You can either run it OBD-0
or OBD-1 or OBD-2
If you do it the latter of the two you will need to get a shock tower harness and run that to the ecu, and if you go OBD-1 get a jumper
If you want OBD-0 get a B16a dizzy. OBD-0 Injectors and then the hasport jumper kit for vtec. Should be as easy as that.
