Default Handling problems after installing SPC rear lower control arms...

I have a 93 hatch with Eibach Pro-kit springs and KYB AGX shocks... Today I installed SPC rear lower control arms and after I put my car back on the ground and retightened everything the cars rear wheels went from sitting a little, but only a little like this... /====\ to sitting a lot like this... \====/ I liked the way it handled ALOT better before, now it sucks and the car feels heavy and like it is going to tip. So I untightened and re-adjusted everything and it still does it. What can I do to fix this? Could simpy changing rear LCA's throw my alignment off this much? It just doesn't seem right. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wow, that sucks, I can't help but wonder if your LCA's got mixxed up from the place you orderd them from, they should fit just like your stock ones. They shouldn't affect your camber that much..

Check if you got the EK one as well if you installed them correctly. It should be a direct replacement part.

I didn't install them upside down, I had read a topic about someone doing that, so I made sure not to. This is how I installed them...

How do I tell the difference between the EK and EG ones? Maybe I did get the wrong ones

EG ones are thicker then the EK ones.

Also not every LCA is designed the same, an actual pic of LCA's on your car would help. That pic looks like the correct way for SRR's.

I have the blue ones in the middle (except mine are red) The ones with the endlink mounting hole on the top rather than in the middle ...

I think those are the EG ones?

I will take pics of them installed on my car. Thanks for everyones help.

BTW: Both those pics are from SPC's site... http://www.spcperformance.com/....html

I believe these lower control arms are designed to allow a bigger wheel/tire combo and "correct" camber inwards....just go get an alignment......I'm asumming its just slightly \\\ not undrivable correct??? You should be fine.....

SPC arms change the oem geometry slightly, i believe it effects track width and camber. and if they mess with camber, they are gonna mess with toe as well.

It is drivable but noticably different. It feels like a bad case of understeer. When I go get an alignment will they be able to correct it that much?

It is true that they are designed to be used with a wider tier/wheel combination. Due to the control arm being designed .5" shorter than the OEM specs. I have them currently and been experiencing the same ride conditions as you do.

The SPC LCA's are supposed to be used in conjunction with the SPC Upper Rear Camber Adjusters. That is what is causing your Camber problems. I suggest you put your stock LCA's back on and order the SPC Upper Adjusters. Driving around like that is extremely unsafe.
