Looks like an HF manifold to me.

He says right in his description that its an HF manifold port matched.
It looks good cant wait to see how she runs/performs for you!!

I bought the block from someone else, so i don't have experience with this myself but i did find a quote from someone on here about what needs to be done...
"Small End - I had found specs on the internet somewhere, and you can give that to the machine shop, but I bet you can give the machine shop the wrist pin and they can rebush the small end (they should have bushings there).
Big End - The on the big end diameter on the LS rod is the same as the D16 rod, and will fit the crank using d16 bearings, but the bearings aren't as wide as the ls bearings, so you have to shave the sides down."
Thanks guys.......this project started last summer and has gone through 2 engines and two trannys...you know how frustrating this stuff gets. i almost said screw it and let someone else do the work for me........hahahaha

how are the EX pistons attached. did you pres them thorugh your rebushed end? I was told by crower this was impossible.
hence i have after market pistons now with my LS rods.

I'm excited too. This is basically the same setup I'm gonna go with.
Was there any reason you used the y8 head over the z6?
Also, are you running the a6 intake manifold?
Good luck, I'm sure she'll scream!

I've heard the z6 flows better than the y8 and the y8 will yield more compression as opposed to a z6 on an a6 block.

dizzy wiring was all good with a new cap and rotor....also, i forgot to put the vacuum hose back on my bov.....
thats why it was idling like crap.
i'm so freaking excited, i need to hold back a little to break the new engine in but i really want to boost to 10psi right away!
i took it out for a drive tonight (i have really bad spark maps in my zdyne) and it feels so good. the flywheel was lightened a bit and i can really feel that, the act extreme clutch has great pedal feel and although i didn't do any hard shifts it really feels strong. I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY FOUND A SI TRANNY WITH NO GRING IN 3RD! its the most amazing thing about my swap. the new rear disk brakes and the proportioning valve feel really good. once i break it in nicely i'll be heading straight to the track.
the y8 head came on the block i bought. it was a great deal for $900. i got a newly rebuilt a6 block with ls rods and new ex pistons the head already had the p&p and valve job also the si tranny came in the package. I really lucked out.
all thats left is to set the valve clearances since shes tapping a little and then find/make a good zdyne tune.
