OEM ITR exhaust?
Currently I have an Apexi N1 exhaust that i really want to get rid of. I was thinking about getting an RS*R or something similar, but then i thought about the ITR exhaust. How much better does this flow compared the stock LS exhaust? how much is flow decreased compared to the N1? what is the diameter of this exhaust? would removing the bottleneck make a difference? Any other info about it would be good too, TIA.
Any Gains would be Minor. The Stock ITR exhaust is 2.25" Pipe and the Muffler. If anything you will loos power over the N1 cause the N1 has a Straight through Design in the Muffler. If you are Looking for a quieter exhaust the Stock ITR will be just that, but if you want something that Flows better than an N1 Style then the Stock ITR isn't what you are Looking for.
What about the Apexi don't you like. Ever think about the Spoon N1? It is supposed to be kinda mellow toned until you get on it then it;s Loud. But it should flow just as good as the APEXi if not better.

I know i'll loose power from the N1 b/c a chambered exhaust wont flow as well as a straight through. What's wrong w/the N1? Too loud, shiny, attracts cops (tickets
), poor quality, etc... I want something more subtle that still flows decent.

Try looking for an exhaust system with a straight thru muffler to keep the flow, but look for systems with longer/bigger resonators and longer bigger muffler canisters.
everyone suggests the Apexi World Sport as a quiet nice exhaust...and yes it is a very nice and quiet exhaust but people don't realize the the World Sport is also a chambered muffler. RSR exhaust are also chambered. Just something interesting that I thought I would share.

the design may be chambered, but it is nowhere near as bad as a stock muffler... in fact the design is basically like a straight through perforated muffler, but it has 1 expansion chamber before it exits. so it doesnt flow as well as straight through, but close... and it is a hell of a lot quieter. (the difference between legal and not)
