Is the K20 an ample engine to mod?, maybe like presay, the B series??

Not meaning to contradict what you say, buy I heard that the k20 replaced the accords engine, and I had never heard of many accords being modified.... But what proof of this do you have ? Can it produce the same ammount of reliable power as the B, or the H, though??

 

Don't know if this has already been covered...But of the New Civic si, RSX type S, and the 5th Gen. prelude, which handles the best??( Im looking to buy one, and am trying to form opinions on each chassis, and engine)

 

K24s are the new accord four banger. The K20 variants are in the honda Civic Si and in the Acura Rsx. And yes, the K-series will be able to produce lots of power. More than the B-series.

 

theres not as much stuff out for k series motor as for b series.. once more aftermarket parts available.. i can see it doing just as good or better than b series.. i still don't like the idea of turning everytrhing backwards.. not user friendly if you running fi and stuff..

 

Is it worth my while to buy a base RSX, or Civic si, and put the Honda ITR K20 into it?

To late the K series motor is producing more hp and torq then the b series.
Turbo rsx's are pushing 300+ hp, All motor rsx's are pushing 240hp. Very good for a car that has only been out 2 years

More than that...Cybernation's RSX-S is making 440whp, I'm pushing 262whp in my Si and that's going up very soon.

"not as much after market for k series as b" is bullshit now, the K engine has as much after market support as the b series. Where we lack is that not everyone in their mother is making an exhaust or a header for our cars. But the ones who make them are the only ones we care about.

DC, spoon, hks, greedy, mugen, neuspeed, etc all make after market parts for our K series and mod for mod a B series just can't hang.

Yea totally ..this is the answer to all of our prayers
the roller rockers and crank girdle stock ...plus alot of other goodies .
i cant wait to get mine strapped down on the dyno

 

I agree. The new k-series engines have a LOT of potential! People racing in b-series, are or have switched over to k. The HP numbers are looking good with light mods.
