Default need help blue smoke !!!!!!!!!!!

i am running an all motor ls. i have a bill gude race package head manifold cams valves and cams. i am running it on my factory bottom end in my 98 ls. it has 60 000 miles on it. does anyone have any tips on what it is . i use 5w 30 oil. please write back, it is shooting blue smoke at high rpms. oh and i am using a factory ecu so i haven't been overeving past 7000. thanks

Blue is oil, and if its at high rpms, its most likely rings. Try a new pcv valve first, then do a compression test, then a leakdown to trace it. If the car smokes in the morning right away, it could be your valve stem seals as well.

i called some shops and they say when youbuils an ls motor u will always have some smoke due to how the cut the valve guids to allow the ls head to rev higher. plus the motoe runs real lumpy due to the cams so hopefully he is right .
