Default Japanese ITR final drive in an LS S80

do you think it would be worth it to put a 4.7 FD in an ls, with the gears spaced the way they are. i only ask this because this is the transmission i am stuck with for right now and would like to see if i could make the best of it...

thanks in advance.

if you decide to put the 4.78 in the ls you will need to chand the diff. also you will need either an itr or gsr diff... any other questions about this give me a call I will be happy to explain more...

yeah b18b and b16a final/differentials are they same type/interchangable and b18c1/c5 are interchangable

honestly it might just be easer to get a gsr tranny and sell the ls. prolly about the same amount of money and a whole lot easier.

agreed, thats what ill probably do in the long run, just entertaining the possiblity, but with the fact about the diffs, makes me lean more towards a diffrent transmission all together
thanks for the replies
