Scary thing happened today with my new build up!
OK I am breaking my motor in just driving around alot , I ran some errands today and everything was fine, until I noticed this rattling sounds coming from the passenger side in the engine compartment/tranny area. Everytime I rev the engine up it rattles and coming down on revs it rattled. I open the hood and rev it up with the throttle cable and damn it sounds like it's coming from inside the tranny, so I am thinking **** maybe one of my flywheel bolts came loose and it's in there rattling since it has happened to a friend before. Also I thought if that's not it what it a clutch bolt came loose or maybe even and I strongly thought this may be it , I thought maybe the Six pung sprung hub broke apart maybe the friction material or something. I drive down the street I herad something fall from the car. I get home jack the car up, I don't have the flywheel bolt cover on so I turn the motor over by wrenching the crank pulley bolt, all the flywheel bolts are there, wheww, then mayb it's the clutch disc or looose bolt rattling. Well I couldn't rev the car while I was under it so I had my wife come out and do it I here the rattling and seriously sounds like it is coming from the tranny inside, I look around to seee if anything is lose around it and just rattling, MY O2 sensore where it is positioned is close to the firewall need to fix that, it's not it, I hold the downpipe since maybe it's rattling on something, it changed the sound alittle, I push it up and pull it down alittle, when I pulled on it it tightened it alittle and the sounds went away! AHA when I put the downpipe on I got the two lower bolts in for the dp to the exhaust but the top was a BITCH couldn't get to it too well, so I got it on best i could and as tight as I could and what do you know that's what it was the nut fell off and the bolt is in thee just rattling away. So all I can say is I am very very happy and relieved since I was preparing to poull the tranny off and check everything out. WHEW! Well sorry soooo long but back to driving BOOSTFD
congrats bro lucky you hearing horror stories liek rattlin sounds when it comes to boost makes me wanna cream in my pants. Or make my nuts ache fearing the very epitimy of having to pay up to get something fixed that was just damaged . be sure to inspect and tighten down everything a complete look over just to make sure.

The plan was to dyno it today but I had a couple appointments I had to go to and my buddy wanted to dyno it in the morning because he can't staylate at the shop tonight.
Plan B is drop it off in the morning wherehe is putting a base tune in it just for driveablility only and when I get off TRY to make some POWAH!

lol man i know how that feels, There has been a few instances with my car that I'll hear a wierd sound and it ends up being a loose bolt or something gay like that.
I had the a/c belt tensior rattling against the frame and I though I had a rod knock. lol
good to hear its going along well.

i had the same thing happen recently except it was a bearing inside my tranny that exploded!

its always the last place you look!
no really though, 99% of the time when something is wrong i do the same as u and freak out and think its something very complicated and hard to fix. then when i find the problem its like super simple.
