Default coolant leak, wrong part used in rebuild?

the d16a6 block i bought was rebuilt with a new waterpump. I haven't started the engine yet but when i poor coolant in it is leaking (major) from gasket number 12 in the picture below. also, there is no nipple on part 9 which connects water to the oil filter housing in the second picture.

pic1: http://www.hondaautomotivepart...+PUMP

and it is totally missing part 17 in the second picture below. the filter is screwed into the block directly.

pic2: http://www.hondaautomotivepart...AINER

please help guys, i am really confused

Have you checked the screws on the water pump to make sure they're on tight?

So you know for sure the water pump and gasket is new? Some places are shady and make parts look new and sell them as new.

you probably have the wrong pump on there. When I went down to help Vinceg99 with his d16 we put a new pump on it. It bolted up fine and looked really close but it was the wrong pump and didn't cover the (for lack of a better term) vanes up under the pump. We took it back and got another new d16 water pump and it was the right one. I guess there are two different pumps and sometimes they get switched in the boxes. You probably got a B pump

ok, i have a spare zc lying around and i pulled that whole assembly apart. it won't be very hard to replace gasket 12 and put in some sealant on the motor in my car. i'll try that before i grab a new water pump. thanks for the help guys, i'll keep you informed as i am working on it between emails
