20 days

what is retarded about it?

the classifieds section is there for a reason, to keep classified ads out of model specific forums

we have trial users to prevent people from signing up just to post an ad

did you even bother to read the forum guidelines?

READ! : https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=406053 for accord forum guidelines

for the general Terms of Service of Honda-Tech: https://honda-tech.com/zerohelp?topic=tos

for the classified forums rules: https://honda-tech.com/zero...42#20

this is not a free-for-all!!

im not saying its a free for all, but some people are serious about selling things and are actually good sellers. waiting 20 days, or posting 50 times, or whatever the different boards use, is a little discouraging from actually hanging around until they do become a member.

I think the whole point is to make the board first and foemost a technical resource, rather than have just a couple sign up just for the purpose of to sell something.

There is a difference.

A person selling something of their own, a set of wheels, an intake, etc, is for the classifieds.

If you are a seller, store, or some kind retailer etc then you belong in the Best Buys forum.

Its not discouraging, we have over 50k members, and the volume of traffic in the classifieds forum is very high. We do not want people to just sign up, post a forsale thread, leave an email address to reply to, and then disappear. We want productive members.
