Default I'm looking for Sponsorship

I will be competing in a road race/rally this September 13th and 14th that will be filmed and sold throughout the United States in late November. It is similar to the Gumball 3000, but it is only a two day event consisting of only 500 miles. The rally itself already has corporate sponsors, all of whom will have their names displayed on all the participating cars. They see that this is a great way to get their name seen by many people who wouldn't normally see it. This is my car:

So, I am looking to be get a pair of black racing buckets and a pair of 4-point racing harnesses. Anybody serious about this can E-mail me and I can provide the extensive modification list, as well as more pictures. In return for your sponsorship, your company's name will be displayed on my car in locations of your choice for all of the participants to see, as well as anybody who watches the DVD, and there will be very high sales of the DVD. Thank you for your consideration, my E-mail address is Ben@Greenstein.name .

so you log onto honda-tech to get your toyota sponsored?
and maybe you should try approaching the manufacturers of said products instead of just posting up your car and looking to have people contact you.
That's kinda not how it works.....you have to go to them with the proposal.
Nobody goes online looking to give parts away.

go check a toyota message board.

However, asking for sponsorship through a forum isn't exactly the best approach either... good LUck

Of course I already posted this on Toyota Boards, but I know that there are owners of shops and vendors that deal with ALL makes on Honda-Tech too, not only Hondas. Just like some of the vendors on the MR2 Board deal with Hondas. And to whoever said I just signed onto Honda-Tech to post this, that is not true, I have a Honda too. I work hard to have 2 cars.

So, anybody who was able to restrain themselves from making a stupid comment, thank you.

As for APC, you don't see ricy MR2s driving around with APC parts, that's more of a Honda thing.

Oh, and thanks for the offer for the turbo kit, but I already have a turbo. As my ad said, I'm looking for seats and harnesses. Thanks anyway.

you must not know a lot about sponsorships.
1st what makes you so special for people to just up and give you stuff?
2nd who are you and do you have any kind of track record to justify a company giving you products?
3rd how many potential customers will have access to your car and see the product?
4th what will you do for the company?
a sponsorship isnt just free stuff, you become an employee for that company and you have to put more effort then just making one event. the company has to make sure they will get their money out of you and make sure your a wise investment.

Okay. How about this...

Speaking from someone who has been sponsored. NO ONE is going to offer you just a free ride. Your car looks "OKAY." It's nothing to shout about. No big deal. You think someone's just going to throw your sponsorship at you just by looking at your picture on this board? No bud, you're going to work a lot harder than that unless you are the 1% that gets extremely lucky (honestly, without seeing what you have under the hood, I don't think it's possible).

Go to shows, races, etc. build your reputation. Talk to the manufacturers. It maybe helpful if you knew the Sponsors. But if you did, you obviously wouldn't be asking here.

-someone who was sponsored by Sparco.

You must not know much about reading and comprehension. Your 3rd and 4th question can be answered by reading my post. As for the 1st 2 questions you had, anybody who is serious about sponsoring, which none of you are, can E-mail me and find out.

Now I can see the relationship between useless posts and people that have posted thousands of times. For all the responses to this thread, the most useless ones were from people who have post counts of 2469, 1544, 5003, 1355, 2337, 1137, 1515, 2314. Now, of course, by the time this statement is posted, I'm sure you will have all posted 5 more times to other things that you have no relevance to. Keep up the good work fellas.

JMS JT- I have been sponsored before, and I'm sponsored right now. The purpose of this post is that maybe I'll fall into that 1% of luck, since I have less than a month before the event. I know about sending letters and portfolios to companies, I know about how to get sponsored. This is just one MORE thing that I'm trying. Thanks for your advice, but it's not needed here. But I'm beig sincere in that if I did actually have NO idea how to get sponsored, I'd want somebody with experience as you obviously do to give me some advice.

I will not be responding to anymore non-serious posts, so if any of you would like to have the last word, please take that oppurtunity right now. If you're serious, please E-mail me. Thank you.

hope that wasn't toward me "noob hater?". i have been racing locally and nationally since 92. i didn't go after any big names but i had a few shops helping me out. i took a few years off only running 1 race a year and started back this year and already have a few shops on my bike. i will be at a national event this weekend parked with the shop. on top of that a good friend who works with me has a full ride with Sony and a few other companies to compete and show his car; so i have a history and i am around all types of racing and events daily.

worst "proposal" ever ! ! !

Speaking of proposals, would there be any interest in somebody that would help you create a kick-*** proposal that you can use over and over again for a small fee?
