shopping list for 89 crx rear disk brake swap
trailing arm from a 90-93 integra or 90-91 crx si
e-brake lines from a 90-93 integra or 90-91 crx si
while your at it you can also grab the 4040 prop valve from the 90-93integra. i think the newer civic ex (w/rear disks) one will work also.
you can try and change out your master cylinder and brake booster too but i hear its a hell of a job with your intake manifold on. or you can just replace your mastercylinder with one from a (i think) 90-91 civic ex, it will say 15/16 and have the same bolt configuration too. you can also use the 88-89 accord Lxi's master cylinder. good luck, i'll let you know how mine came out later on today when i take her on the road

CRX uses 90-91 CRX Si brake cables, only Civic Hatch uses 90-93 Integra Coupe cables, and the Sedan uses 90-93 Integra Sedan cables.
Also only use the 90-93 Integra 4040 prop valve. I have a 91 Civic EX prop valve on my car which is brand new and my pedal feel sucks
Cost me like $120 and now I gotta switch back to the junkyard one. Arghhh. Anyone need a nearly new EX valve?

you need the 15/16" master cylinder and 90-93 brake booster. the smaller MC wont push enough fluid for 4 disc brakes. and in order to put the bigger MC on you need the 90-93 booster due to them having different bolt up "patterns"
if anyone needs any MC's or prop valves i have some for sale. i have 4-15/16" MC's and 5 prop valves for 4 wheel disc. i also have a 1" MC and 94+ booster but the booster wont fit on an EF and the 1" MC has different fittings so you need to bend hard lines and change the fittings

So
90-91 crx hubs rotors and calipers
90-91 crx or 90-93 integra trailing arms
90-91 crx e brake cable
90-93 integra brake booster and 4040 prop valve
15/16 master cylinder
anything else and what should i expect to pay for all this?
thanks everybody for the help

Incorrect. You do not NEED a new M/C. The stock one will do fine. I remember when i had to slam on my brakes for a redlight and i locked the rears up! My set up is 89 hatch with the CRX rear discs and new 89 civic M/C (stock prop. valve).

You don't need the Integra MC and Booster. I drove around for a year with stock MC and Booster with rear discs and it was fine.
Also any of you anti-rear discs guys with big fronts and drums in the back want to upgrade to an EX prop valve. I have a 1 week old one I can't really use any more. I'll give it to you for $70 below retail.

ok i'll change my statement. its good to get the 15/16" MC. honda would have used the same MC for all of them if it was meant to use for both. i tried my brakes before i put the MC on and the pedal pretty much went to the floor. then i put the 15/16" MC on and it feels a whole lot better

I will agree with the first part of what ur sayin but not about how your brakes went to the floor after the swap. You may have had a problem with your M/C at that time and decided to upgrade since u had to buy a new M/C anyways. Are u tryin to sell your M/C 's or something?

Usually pedal going to the floor is because you didn't use the Integra prop valve.
Also it would be a bad idea to put a 15/16 MC inside the stock Civic because its really easy to lock up those small brakes with a big mc/booster so it would have led to a lot of accidents. Its ok once you get bigger brakes but with tiny ones its a bad idea.

Never had, nor heard of until now, the brake pedal doing to the floor because of the wrong prop. valve. I have so many friends, including myself, with the disc swaps and are still using stock everything, including the stock prop. valve. When ur pedal drops to the floor, that indicates a faulty M/C.
