First post on the board so bare with me.

I own a 90 crx si with a zc in it, when I give it alot of gas the rpm gauge jumps allll over the place it will start climbing from let's say 2500 and just jump to 5500 and then go to something other bogus rpm reading. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? any posts are appreciated, thanx.

Check the grounds screws on your ignitor. And tighten them if they are loose. I had the same problem and that took care of it. but then a few months later the dizzy took a **** on me and cost me 200. But It did come with a new ignitor! Which is 95 bucks BTW. Anyway that is more than likely your problem. Good luck.
