how would i go about installing A/C on my CRX DX?
this is a 80% performance site so, dont expect too many replies-ac robs power and adds weight. but if you really want it somebody will help ya though. i ripped all my ac stuff out when i did my swap. i just never needed it that bad.im kinda thin. its hot as hell in n.c. in the summer but you can get used to it!!!!!!!!!
well see, i live in southern california... so 90% of the year even sumtimes in the winter time its hot as hell, so a/c is kinda wanted, i know it does rob performance but im willing to take the compromise for a/c... im not exactly thin, but im not fat.. still need the a/c though...
*edit* oh and by the way, is there any way that i can make the lumbar support in my car a bit more narrow? i want it to hold me in a little tighter, because right now when i sit in the seat theres a gap between my body and the lumbar support so i can still slide around, and i don't want to buy new seats...

Buy all the AC parts from a guy like the one above. That is what I did. Just be sure to get the harness for the AC. It is a seperate harness and includes all the relays and such. I recommend getting all new o-rings and doing a 134a conversion. According to honda, on the EF, only the Sanden compressor can be converted, so if you buy some bodys stuff, be sure it has the sanden compressor. Good luck.
I'm doing this now. LOL
You need from inside the car:
The evaporator and it's mounting screws and straps
The A/C button off of the hvac controls
Outside the car:
Reciever/dryer
condensor
ALL the piping and their fittings
The WHOLE A/C wire harnes, and plugs, relays and fuses. DO NOT CUT IT. It will all unplug. There are some plug-in connections inside the car, however.
The condensor fan and it's relays and switches and brackets
The compressor and it's bracket with tensioner. And the wires.
If I've forgotten anything I'll post again.
MAKE SURE THE SYSYEM IS EMPTY before you open it.
