OT: A little funny story about today (Planned on going to Gingerman)
Quick pre story: Firend wants a itr, planned on meeting today at Ginerman for some track time. However the track was rented out (we called the week before and it was still open). Also, I ordered a distributor and had it shipped next day, so I would get it today.
Main Story (He posted this on a local Detroit board)
Yup. Today (August 12th) was going to be the best day of my life!
I was going to experience the power, poise, and precission of an Integra Type-R. Not just any Tye-R, but the true, original, Championship White '97 driven hard at the track. Mr. Canuckr loured my brother and I into comming out to Gingerman to drive his car. I really didn't want to go, but he offered cookies to make the 2-1/2 hours frive from Chicago more attractive. He also put the ITR stock seat back into the car. The Momo race seat that Ryan squizes into is way too tight for my fat behind.
For those who don't know, I've met Mr. Canuckr at few Gingerman track days - he wasn't terribly impressed with my WRX wagon and wouldn't even go for a ride in my car! Yes, that's right. He refused.
Now, there still was the issue of the car. After last track day and Ryans adventure to the other side of the rev limiter (10K is a bit much, right?) Ryan worked hard to bring the car up to spec. He even invested into a FedEx guy to deliver him the neccessary car parts. With less than 24hours safety window i waited. Waited, and waited, and waited. The times passed by in anticipation. Finally, a good sign. The R was cured and we were ready to go for today, for Gingerman, a magical place in MI where all my hopes and dreams would come alive! I double-asked Mr. Canuckr about the situation. Both times the response was positive. I even called his punk *** to confirm, and once again, we were good to go!
My next step was to prepare the car. My brother and i left the comfort of the air-conditioned room and dregged our behinds onto the extreme heat; humidity; and repeated, painfull, and annoying attacks of individual mosittos. It wasn't pretty, but the thought of driving an ITR kept us working. Hubert got a head start. He emptied the car, changed the front brake pads, and put the right tires on the car. My work didn't involve the brake pads, therefore i started a bit later. Afterall all i had to do was to change tires. On my 3rd wheel (i already put the 1st two back ito the garage) the cell phone rung. Ryan was on the line. I thought he was about to describe the sellection of cookies he brought, but it wasn't so...
I almost dropped my x-wrench when he announced the bad news. Apparently Mr. Canuckr secretly arranged for someone to rent Gingerman this evening. No Gingerman = no fun! no Type-R! no nothing! I was crushed, my hopes ruined, my future pitch black, my system of beliefs thrown out the window.
Now, in all fairness, i ask you what to do?
Seek revange?
Forget about the very existance of ITR and the fun it promises?
Or wait till the 28th, when we'll revisit Gingerman and enjoy life as never before?
Trully yours,
Bartek B.
Sorry for the long post, but I thought it was pretty funny

I couldn't agree more, but keeping in mind the flustration Mr. Bartek went through, i think we can let him slide with that one.

Ryan-Who wasnt that lazy yesterday cause he was excited to finaly get back on the track after a month of no events.

Type R's don't exist and Gingerman was torn up last week.
